Old and the new.9x12,Oils on board.

I started this painting Plein Air whilst out

painting with our Club at Haybridge Basin.

Then completed it at Home.In this spot

there were lots of old Discarded Boats.

And I loved this subject. The chap you

see is working on a Narrow Boat.but

he must have built it from new,It

looked gorgeous.he did look as if

he could have easily fallen off that plank.

I did this painting of my Studio yesterday

Morning. It`s the Shed next to where it

says Vics Studio. The brick Wall that

you can see,is our Garage.When I was

painting it,the Birds were singing away

and there were Squirrels passing my

Head only three feet away on our

Fencing.I thought I was in deep

country.

Landscape at St` Johns.6x8 oils on board.

This subject is next door to St` Johns Church.

Just five minutes from me.Again it is a subject

that I have been wanting to paint for some time

now,and I managed it on Monday morning last.

Actually I did a colour sketch or a painting if

you like to call it there, and wasn`t happy with

it, so I did another from it at Home. When I

turned up to do the painting, there were two

chaps there right where i wanted to sit and

paint. So i asked them if I would be in their

way if I sat right there, and i pointed where,

so they said no mate. After about 15minutes

one of them came up and said,oh! your an

Artist then.My head got bigger and I said

rather modestly,yes.That made my day.

well. I tried to do a quick Sketch, and it

was a very quick one.So when I got home,

Peace at last.9x12,Oils on canvas board.

Peace at last was painted with some difficulty.

Grass I have found to cause me some problems.

light and dark tones.I hope it has worked

to some degree. I love figures in a painting.

I`m reasonably happy with this one.
