Cottages at Shoreham Bridge. 10x12, Oils on board.

Another Shoreham painting. It is certainly a lovely area for subjects. Some years ago I was sketching by this Bridge and a Priest came up to me and asked me if I was an Artist, of course I said yes. Whether he belived me or not I don`t know. But I was happy anyway.

  1. Hi Vic,
I just love the English Cottages. My grand children enjoy Postman Pat. I enjoy it as well. In your paintings you capture that English charm. You have a beautiful country my friend. Your paintings are a wonderful way of sharing with us in the States. Thank you, and Well Done!

  2. Hi Joan.
Thank you for your comment my friend. Yes I love them too. If you walk around the Village for say 10mins` you can find at least a dozen subjects. Also just outside the village you can find another area in a copse with lots of subjects also. Thanks Joan and all the best.

  5. Hi Vic,

This is a lovely painting! I've been browsing your blog (I'm catching up!) and.... wow.. you've been busy. I love the snow pics (would love to have some snow... it's almost 70 degrees here today... yuck) and especially liked "Small Holding", "Switching Off", "St. John's Church", and "Outward Bound". You're doing a great job!

  6. Thank you very much Teresa. Lovely to hear from you again. The weather here is very cold, about 4c, 38f. I`m dying to get out to paint. I`ve heard that some Artist`s go out in all weathers, I wish I was as brave. I did leave a comment on your Blog some time ago re` that lovely Dog you painted, wonderful Job you did there Teresa. I do read your stories now and again but strangely I have yet to look up your paintings. This blog of mine is very time comsuming, as is yours I would think. Thank you again teresa and all the best.
