1907 Rolls Royce Silver Cloud
In the absence of a painting, I thought I would post these lovely Models of Vintage Cars. The first one is a 1938 Jaguar SS-100. The second is a 1935 Mercedes 500K. the third is a 1930 Duesenberg Tourster. And the last one is a 1907 Rolls Royce Silver cloud. They are all precission made models made by Franklin Mint. At the time they cost around £80 each. That was a lot of money in 1980 when I bought them but I love them.

Hi Vic,
ReplyDeleteWhat a fine collection of cars! The detail is fantastic. Hmm, I think my favorite is the Mercedes. Best to you, Sue
Hi Sue.
ReplyDeleteYes, I agree with you, They are lovely. They sit ontop of our dresser for all to see. All the best Sue.
Vic.
Hi Victor,
ReplyDeleteI'll have to show my husband these little beauties later. He's a collector as well. Every year, we go to Carlyle, Pa. to see the Antique cars....you would probably love it there!!!
Hi Hilda.
ReplyDeleteYes, they are gorgeous Hilda. We have a vintage car gathering each year here also. I have been trying to be a follower of yours for some time now, but google won`t accept my address for some reason. I will keep trying though. All the best Hilda.

Hi Vic,
ReplyDeleteGreat collection, Mike also has a collection that he started for the grandchildren. Looking forward to your next painting my friend. Yes, me too, I have to get back to posting. It's so easy to stay away. All the best to you and Rosemary.

Hi Vic!...Cock-a-doo-dle.... Well done! Love the expression on this myopic barnyard subject!
ReplyDelete"He" surely has "Attitude"...little doubt in the way you have rendered this one!
The vintage cars are magnificent in detail! They don't make them with this class and line... despite the new-fangled technology and pressure molded plastic parts and no-chrome!
Good show of your taste ... all around Vic!
Good Painting!
Warmest regards,
Bruce
Hi Bruce. Thank you. I love your cock-a-doo-dle. I should have thought of that title for him. I agree with you Bruce about the Vintage Cars, they don`t make them anywear near now like them lines do they? And the very best of warmest regards to you too Bruce and all the best.
ReplyDeleteVic.
Ooh! I'll take the '38 Jag! What curvy, elegant lines.
ReplyDeleteHi Teresa.
ReplyDeleteMy favourite is the Mercedes 500K. But I would settle for your choice. All the best Teresa.
