I want you to know that I get a big smile every time I open one of your posts. Your paintings brighten my day! I know what you mean about not wanting to paint, sometimes it's important to rest and regroup. Save up some energy for summer!

  5. Vic, you captured a sense of calm and atmosphere with this painting that I really enjoy. The windmill in the distance and the fisherman tell a wonderful story.

  7. Hi Vic,

I hope you are feeling better. This painting is lovely. You certainly are a master at capturing atmosphere and creating a feeling of tranquility in your wonderful paintings. I also love the composition of the man fishing, the boat and the windmill in the distance. It takes the viewer on a tour of the complete scene. Well done my friend.
Don't worry about not feeling in the mood to paint, we all go through that, I call it re-charging our artistic battery.
    Feel better Vic.

  8. Hi Joan.
Thank you my friend for that lovely comment. Actually Joan, I managed two 9x12 paintings yesterday. I forced myself down to my Studio and it took me under two hours of painting. their not the best I`ve ever done, far from it, but I shale post both of them later. Thanks again Joan and all the best. Oh! I`m feeling a bit better today thank you.

  9. The color in this painting is just wonderful and the brushwork defines the sky so beautifully. You captured a sense of movement in the sky set against the serenity of the water and the boat. So well done.
I understand the time that one has to refill the inner spirit to once again paint. I have been going through that also. That you persisted is great perservence! Glad that you are feeling better.
