This painting was done on site but improved in my Studio. The white house, not the original one of cours. Harry and I.

  1. I envy you the chance to go out there and paint, having a friend with you too must be so nice and encouraging. Both paintings are lovely works especially done out of doors. Wonder if many people stop to chat.

  2. Hi Ann.
Thank you very much for your lovely comment. Ann, the painting that I almost completed on site, isn`t the one that I have posted. I did this one from the original painting and a photograph and virtually completely altered it. I wasn`t happy enough to post the original. All the best Ann.

  3. Looks like you have a good plein-air set up! And a friend to paint with makes it even more fun.
    Happy Sunday.

  4. Hi Vic,
Tere is a lot to like about your oil. The main tree is magnificent, greatly enhance the sky, and the sky the tree. The 3 birds are happily soaring looking for fish trough those great reflections in the water.

  9. Good Morning my friend. Finally able to visit. Your painting is excellent. I agree with cousin Sue, you certainly are a master of greens, which is so very difficult to manipulate the various shades and tones.

I also love the house and the reflections in the water, not to mention the lovely sky. Full marks on this one my friend. Thank you for sharing.

    All the best to you,
    Joan

I just watched the Derik Daniells dvd , it's wonderful and I love his impressionistic style. I also purchased Pamela Kays dvd on floral and garden painting in oil. Thank you for mentioning Derik's dvd.

  10. Hi Joan.
Thank you for your lovely comment my friend. I`m glad that you have got Derek Daniells DVD, he is great isn`t he? I have never heard of Pamela Kay. Ifind Flowers are difficult to paint. I love to paint them
but I need plenty of practice first. You paint them beautifully. All the best Joan.
