Hello Vic. I like this scene which is so typically English, it's interesting how you've gone for cooler greens to good effect. I also love the figures in the previous "Hiking" picture, you've done a fantastic job with these. Well done mate!
Hi Kev. Thanks very much mate for your nice comment. I remember doing the sketch for this one. I was with an old friend of mine who has passed away now but he was a fabtastic watercolour painter and a nice man. We use to go out a lot painting. Are you better now Kev? All the best mate. Vic.
Vic, this is not only a wonderful painting but points out something I just wrote about on a forum I belong to .. The Golden Mean Rule.. I'd seen a beginning painting of a large tree right in the middle of the paper and that got me to the rule of thirds. So important, so easy to understand, yet most beginners are not aware of it at all. Love your greens.. BJ
Hi Barbra. Thank you very much for your comment. I always look out for composition in my paintings, and i`m usually lucky to get it right. I was just looking at your paintings and i notice that you have a very distinctive style, lovely paintings so clean. All the best Barbra. Vic.
