Stream running through. 9x12, oils on board.

This scene is in Southern France. What I liked about it was the stream and the light against the building compared with the darkness of the tree.

Just Looking. 12x17 Oils on Board.

Lovely Oast`s at Cherry Tree farm. Me and a dear Artist friend of mine found this lovely scene on one of our many sketching trips a few years ago. Bill was a lovely man and a brilliant Artist. At the time he worked for the ford motor company. I believe he drew and designed the cars for them. It was always a good feeling when I went with him sketching. He was such a brilliant landscape Artist, and I learnt a lot from him. It was so sad when he died. I went to visit him in Hospital at one time, and I asked the nurse where to find him and she told me, but I had a search for him but I had`to go back to the nurse to ask again. I had already spotted him but he looked so bad that i didn`t recognise him. I will never forget that particular time.

Rain approaching. 9x12 oils on board.

Did this one yesterday. I really didn`t know what to call it. I settled for this title because it does look like rain is approaching. It`s a miserable day at the least.

Mini Daff`s and Terracotta Pot. 6x8 oils on board.

I did this painting this morning Ala prima. I applied thick paint over lean for which you have`to do with wet on wet paint. About one hour. Not that I rush the painting to get it done, I can`t work any slower.

Narrow Boat. 9x12, oils on board.

These Boats are called Narrow or Canal Boats. They are probably called narrow boats because they negotiate very narrow waterways such as places like the norfolk broads for one. Peop;e hire them for their holidays
