Boats at Whitby, Yorkshire. 9x12 oils on board.


This was painted from a photograph. I have been to Whitby but a long time ago. I would love to got there for a weeks plein Air. You never know, I might do yet.

  1. Vic as usual I can learn a thing or two from your post. I love the composition of this one. I have been at boat basins this past week and get totally confused. I like the way you composed this one my friend. Well done.

  2. Thank you very much my friend. I`m over the moon that you can learn something from my post. Mind you, I wasn`t too happy with this one. Rosemary reckons there is too much Blue. And I reckon it isn`t colourful enough. So I am very pleased that you like it. All the best Joan.

  3. Whitby's a wonderful place Vic, you're right. I used to take the kids when they were growing up. Really like the striking composition on this one.
