After Cezanne. 9x12 oils on board.

I`m doing a course at the moment, and this is part of it, a copy of a painting by Paul Cezanne. I did lose my way with the colouring, and I lost my patience in the end. But it did tell me that Paul Cezanne was a better painter than I had realised. There is seven lessons in this course and this is the second exercise. The next one will be a Landscape, more my cup of tea.

I think it's a wonderful copy of Cezanne. It's something all of us should be doing, studying the masters. Enjoy your course. You are a fine artist my friend. Thank you for sending me the email on Theresa link. Had computer problems this morning, couldn't get to my emails.

  6. Thank you Joan. Yes, I agree with you about we should do more copying. When I worked in London, I often visited the National Gallery, and there were always plenty of students copying the masters. They seemed always to be mature students. I really wanted to do that myself but didn`t have the courage, fool me eh? Thanks again my friend and all the best.
