Landscape in the Lake district. 9x12 oils on board

I liked the lovely open space that it has. No Birds as my son would say.

  1. Hi Vic,

Wonderful composition. Love the pink undertones. Another brilliant painting from you my friend. I think Brian Ryder would love this as well.

    All the best to you

  2. Hi Joan.
Thank you very much for your nice comment my friend. Congratulations on your Alex`s selection. You well deserve it joan. I have sent a comment for it. Joan, I have tried three times to send you a comment for your last posting, and each time I complete it, it disappears. I did like the Sky and the Water reflections especially. All the best Joan.

  3. Yes, the pink undertones are enhancing here. the composition is striking and I went to it immediately when it popped up onto my blogger dashboard. Guess how my day has been....gesso-ing pink boards (lol).....I had forgotten how effective warm undertones are until I saw this and Joan's painting of the other day (lol)....it's just about warm enough to paint in my garden studio now....so must get my oils out.

  5. Hi Maggie.
Thank you for your comment. yes, I got the pink idea originally from Brian Ryders Video. What a wonderful painter he is eh? I love his boldness when he is doing a painting. I envy you living in the area where you are. All the best Maggie.
