Willy Lotts Cottage 3. 9x12, oils on board.

This is the third time I have painted Willy Lotts Cottage, I love the subject. Also I think it is the best yet of this subject. As I have said before, Willy Lott was a friend Of John Constable. He also was an Artist, and it is said that he gave Constable lessons and encouraged him.Good old Willy eh? This cottage is on Constables Fathers Mill land. Obviousely not now because it belongs the the National Trust. Beautiful area with lovely trees in abundent.

  2. Hi Vic,
very nice oil, the cottage seems very complicated but you made a very good job of it. It is a very nice and relaxing scene, even the birds are having a good time! Happy painting

  3. I really enjoy your directional brushstrokes, Vic. This one reminds me of Cezanne in that respect.
