I did this one a few weeks ago at keston lakes. This is the second one I did whilst there. I wasn`t going to post it because I wasn`t too sure whether it was good enough to post, then I thought, why not, so here it is, like it or not.
And I'm glad you did post this Vic. Your greens are superb. I know how to mix the greens I want but I just never seem to get them right, especially the lighter values. Lovely sunlit effect on that tree. All the best Vic, Michael :)
Hi Michael. Thank you so much for your encouraging words. I went out with our club Sunday to Rottingdean, Brighton. Fantastic day and good company. One oil sketch and one pencil Sketch. I will do a painting from the oil Sketch and see how it goes. thanks again Michael and all the best. Vic.
Hi Hilda. Thank you very much, I`m glad you like it. It is a lovely area to paint. It has about three lakes all gorgeous, and most of the time the lakes are deep green and brown mixture. All the best Hilda. Vic.
Oh, Yes, so happy you decided to post this one. You are truly a master at mixing greens. Your ability with tones are BRILLIANT!! Two thumbs up on this one my friend.
Hi Joan. Thank you my friend. I love the two thumbs up bit, also the brilliant word. I went out for a couple of hours this morning. Lovely farm cottage. I can`t believe how it turned out. The colour scheme was completely different to my usual colours, I don`t know why. I shale do another from it, but not those colours. All the best Joan. Vic.

I think this one is certainly good enough to post. There is good depth in the foliage and nice light on the tree.
