Henley on Thames. 12x17 Acrylics on board.

The painting that is showing on my Easel, is the one obviously I was doing there, and the other painting is a bigger one of another scene that I painted from a photo.
There is Harry and I as usual. It was a great day out with our club at Henley on Thames. Some of our members went on a boat trip instead of painting. On that day Henley on Thames had a Triathlon going on, and there were hundreds of spectators milling around five of us painting. At around 3pm, the heavens opened up. Thats plein air for you eh?

  2. Hi Mariano.
Thank you for your nice comment. No, the one on my easel wasn`t completed then, But I did manage to complete it by the time it was to go Home. I also did a quick study of that massive Tree with the white boat and blue covering over it. All the best Mariano.

  3. Hi Vic,

What a treat to visit your blog. I am so happy that you are getting out to paint plein air so often. Your work is excelling in so many ways, it was great before, but now my friend it's on Master Level. Well done, still no computer and I am using my old one. Tonight we will go and pick up the new one, hope it isn't to difficult to learn.
    Have a great weekend

  4. Hi Vic. Absolutely gorgeous painting, and of quite a busy scene too. I can't get on with acrylics at all but you're clearly as skilled with them as you are with oils. Hope you get to finish and show us the other ones you did too. Henley looks lovely and a fantastic place to paint. All the best Vic, Michael.

  5. Hi Joan.
Thank you so much for your usual great comment. It was a great day out painting with so many club friends. As I said, some of the members went on a boat trip. They saw us painting and waved, but we didn`t see them. The crowds was horrendous. So many people watching the Trianthlon. Hurry up back with your post`s my friend. All the best Joan.

  6. Hi Michael.
I`m so glad that you like it seeing that you are a great painter yourself my friend. I have learnt something about Acrylics, and that`s not to use them plein air, for me anyway. At Home, no problem. I enjoy using them, not all the time, but now and again. I have started receiving your latest postings via email, thanks. Thanks again Michael and all the best.

  9. Hi Vic..I love both your paintings...the plein air being my favorite--You live in such a beautiful place. I am happy that you are recording it in paint! I was fortunate to visit England and Scotland during the mid 80's. I didn't paint much then but I did get a tour of Winsor Newton! I'll be waiting to see your next painting...your work is fresh and lively!

  10. Hi Vic, This is my first time visiting. I really am awed by artists who venture out with their stuff to paint plein air. I've done it in my own backyard, but never in the middle of a triathlon, in the middle of a park. This shy, cowardly artist opts for photo-shoot outings hunting for possible paint subjects. The two paintings you did before the rains came look successful. I'd love to see them up close.

  11. Hi Celeste.
Thank you for your lovely comment, And for being a follower of mine. I`m glad you like my paintings.
You said that you prefer my plein air one to the other one. Well I didn`t manage to complete it there, but I have completed it at Home now. I wasn`t too happy with it so I have altered it drastically I`m afraid. I shale keep an eye out for your postings now. All the best Celeste.

Linda, with all the interest`s that you are engaged in, I certainly wouldn`t call you Shy and cowardly, the opposite would be correct. All the best Linda.
