Willy Lotts cottage 6. Acrylics 16x12

Willy Lotts cottage again. I love this subject. I can`t stop painting it. The little
window over to the right, is the bedroom where I stayed for a week on a painting course Many Years ago. Wonderful time had by all.

  1. Vic, I can understand your fascination with this subject. It is such a serene and tranquil scene. I love the way you've coped with all the different greens creating texture and form as well as the variety of hues. I really like this. ;-)

  7. It is a wonderful painting Vic, all agree and me too. Greens are so difficult, but you've got them down so warm and subdued, perfect for your subject. I think it might be fun to see a few of your paintings of Willy Lotts cottage in a single post. I'd love to see them together.

  11. Hi Joan.
I`m glad you like it my friend. I have just found out that Willy Lott was a very rich person. I always thought the opposite to that. what i did know about him was that he taught Constable the tricks of the trade. He was the first Artist to teach Constable how to paint. I wish I had him to teach me Joan. All the best my friend, and thank you for your nice comment.
    Vic.
