I painted this at a Village called Chipstead. I added the figure in my studio. It was a ghreat day.As Harry and I were about to cross over a footbridge, Three teachers were crossing with roughly 12 Children, you can see the backs of half of them, the others were further up trying to get past that car, it was a very narrow road, more like a path. Anyway, we managed to cross over the footbridge, two of them actually. we sorted out a subject each and when I had completed about half of the painting, the teachers and the children came back. It was amazing really. They all gathered around and they were looking at Harry`s drawing and my painting, looking so innocent and lovely, they all looked around the age of 3to4 yrs old. I asked the teachers if i could take a photo of them all, but she said that they were not allowed for that to happen. So I said could I take it from behind them, and she said I won`t see you take it will I? So that was it.

Wonderful colors in this beautiful painting, Vic! And of course, I always enjoy seeing the photos of the day!
ReplyDeleteHi Hilda.
ReplyDeleteThank you very much for your nice comment. It was a very cramped spot. You had`to move aside if a Car came down. It wasn`t a through road thank God. It was only the people that live there. the subject i painted was an Electrical contractor`s place. I spoke to him when he came over to look. I was standing right outside a lovely Cottage`s garage. good job they didn`t want to use it eh? All the best Hilda.

We do have some lovely subjects to paint. I only wish we can do a better job of them on site. We do enjoy ourselves, most of the time anyway. Sometimes it can be disappointing. All the best Sherry.

The figure addition was brilliant Victor. It added just the right amount of life to the scene. I do like seeing photos of you and Harry out and about and painting. Inspiring.

Good morning my friend. Yes lovely painting and photos. It's great that you and Harry enjoy your lovely country side and painting together. The children are adorable. Maybe you and Harry planted the desire to be an artist in these children. A wonderful gift to pass on to the next generation.
ReplyDeleteAll the best to you,
Joan
Hi Joan.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your nice comment my friend. yes we do really enjoy painting outside. Meeting people and having a chat, I really love it. Harry is a very good sketcher, almost I would say a Draughtsman. I love the way he sketches. We are out again tomorrow. Going over to a place called Chislehurst. Talk later Joan and all the best.

The orangey brown colors that move throughout this work are so inviting and warm. The figure makes it perfect!
