A painting of Pink Roses. They are in our garden and they look brilliant, the real ones that is. I painted them this morning, and really enjoyed painting them. I was having difficulty mixing for the Pink, I wasn`t satisfied, so I asked my wife Rosemary, and she said try Red and white, I said I don`t think so, it should be red and yellow. i tried Red and white and bingo. perhaps I should get her to mix my colours eh?

  1. Fresh eyes are nice to have around the house. They give us insight. Beautiful painting Victor. Lovely roses. Mine aren't doing that well this year too much heat and too much rain.

  4. Hi.
Thank you very much for your lovely comment. Rosemary doesn`t usually get involved with my painting. but i did mention that I am having trouble with mixing a pink. She then suggested that i try red and white. She said that she remembers that from her school days. What a memory eh? All the best.

  5. Hi Vic,

Oh yes, Rosemary does have an eye for color. The roses are beautiful. Your lighting is brilliant and the complimentary greens make the roses pop. Well done my friend. Great job, Rosemary.

All the best to you both,
    Joan

  7. Hi Joan.
thank you for your nice comment. I was a twit to suggest that I would get Pink from red and Yellow. I did get some sort of a pink, but i would never use it for a painting. All I ever got was Orange. I`m not a very good colourist. All the best my friend.
