Hi Hilda. Thank you very much Hilda. There nothing like the shadows how they should be, colour wise. I thought a high tone as the rest of the painting would be better. all the best Hilda my friend. Vic.
Vic, my friend, love this. Hilda is so right about the lovely shadows, greens and the cottage. What I especially like about this one is the composition. The lead into the winding road, tells such a story, maybe a visit and a cup of tea. Well done Vic.
all the best to you, Joan ps. My little puppy Monet was neutered yesterday. So the little guy is a bit under the weather. So we are just hanging out. take care.
Hi Joan my friend. Thank you very much for your nice comment. This cottage is in shoreham Village, just. about. it`s in a lovely setting. You walk fifty yards and there is a stream, beautiful. This is the place that I went Hoppiking with my Mum and dad and my brother and sister, those were the days. Ling gone but wonderful. Give your puppy a cudle from us, we love puppies. All the best Joan. Vic.
I started painting around 1990 and loved it straight away.
I started with watercolour, and then after about 15 years I moved to Oils and acrylics. I still paint the odd watercolour to keep my hand in so to speak. I love impressionism. The only time I use detail is when I paint portraits. Otherwise it is my interpretation of the subject.
I am retired but still find it hard to find time to paint. I reckon I can manage to do a painting about three times a week.
Originally I was a Motor Mechanic. Then, for the eighteen years leading up to my retirement, I worked
for Barclays bank.
Such an idyllic scene Vic - wonderfully painted.
ReplyDeleteYou painted this little cottage beautifully, Vic! Love the shadows in the streets and wonderful greens....
