Charing Cross. 19.5 x 23.5" Oils on board.

This is a scene close to Charing Cross Station London. It`s from a photograph that I took whilst visiting an exhibition of Impressionistic paintings at a London Gallery. I have been painting it for about three weeks now, but in between other paintings. I don`t like to be too long on any one painting, I get bored.

  2. Thank you my friend. I couldn`t do anything to it on some days. so I reckon the actual painting took me say about four full days, but I started it three weeks ago. But boy am I glad it`s completed. I`m trying a new way of painting, well, new to me. You will see the results hopefully soon. All the best Mariano.

  4. Hi Vic,
The gourds oils i made a while ago took me 4 weeks, glazing etc. Just not my cup of te'. Seems the more i work in a painting the less interested I get! You produced a good painting of Charing Cross! I can't wait your new way of painting; just curiosity, but if is new is good, because when you change you truly appreciate what you left behind, but more important what's ahead of you!!!!!

  5. Hi Joan.
Thank you very much for your lovely comment. Now, my new way of painting is far fron new, it`s just that I am trying it for the first time. Most Artist`s know of this as I have always but have never tried it before now. It is only laying all your shapes out first in very thin Oils, including the colds and the warms. When you are happy with that, you finish off with fat oils. In other words, Fat on Thin. nothing secret I`m afraid my friend. Thank you again Joan and all the best.
