Darren and Barbi. 9x12, Oils on Board.

We went to a friends for a barbecue last week, and this is him Barbecuing the Sausages. He looks tall here because he is tall, 6ft.5in.

  1. Good morning Vic, it is 6:29am in the states. Have a nasty cough and been up since 4:30. I love this painting. What inspires me the most about your work, is the fact you paint all subjects. Not just landscapes, and you do them so well. Have a great day.

  2. Good morning Joan. It is 11.42am here and I got up at 8am. that`s unusually late for us. Thanks for your great comment my friend. And thanks for adding the time of day at your end. I am always interested in the time when somebody comments. It`s a nice comment Joan and thank you for that. All the best.

P.S. I hope you will feel better soon.

  4. This guy IS tall! And you got it. I really like the composition on this one. The angles of "barbie" take the eye right in. I am guessing the food was good too! (For me, its 7:40 am and I am just having my morning coffee!)

  6. Thank you Laurel for your comment and the time. Everybody seems to have Coffee in the morning in America. doesn`t anybody have good old tea? We have tea first thing but then Rosemary has a coffee, so you are not alone there. Yes Laurel, the food was good. All the best.

  7. Nicely composed painting Vic. I am impressed that you handle the complexity of foliage, distance and depth so well. The figure is especially nice. You are a fine painter and I always look forward to your new postings. It is 4:44 am here in SC.
