- I started painting around 1990 and loved it straight away. I started with watercolour,and then after about 15 years I moved to Oils and acrylics. I still paint the odd watercolour to keep my hand in so to speak. I love impressionism. The only time I use detail is when I paint portraits. Otherwise it is my interpretation of the subject. I am retired but still find it hard to find time to paint. I reckon I can manage to do a painting about three times a week. Originally I was a Motor Mechanic. Then, for the eighteen years leading up to my retirement, I worked for Barclays bank.
I particularly like your Whitstable series, Vic. I could imagine prints of them selling well.

My Father in Law at one time called my Studio, What that Old Shed if yours, when i mentioned it to him. It really made me laugh. All the best John.

Oh yes my friend, I do agree with John. Your Whitstable series would be great as prints and yes, they would sell. Your painting portrays summer fun and we can all relate to that. All the best to you. Joan
