Outward Bound 3. Oils on Board.

I have painted this subject before, but this one I used a palette knife as well as a Brush. Also, I went mad with the colours.

I did this painting about three months ago. It`s an unusual subject for me but decidedto give it a go. I found that Flowers are verydifficult to depict. But I know some Artist`s find them very easy.

Snow scene at St` Johns. 10x12, oils on board.

St Johns refers to a lovely Church just along the Road to us. I have sketched a lot in that area, and this was from a photo that I took last January when we had a lot of snow. I painted this yesterday.

Puffin 2. 6x8, Oils on board.

I did another Puffin this morning because I wasn`t happy with the other one. I feel much better about this version.

Sansego Bay 2. 10x12, Oils on board.

Another Sansego Bay. This one is done with a palette knife. I like the colours, but not too sure about the rest.

Another Bird. One more to do. In between painting them, I have completed a Seascape. I will post it tomorrow.

Puffin. 6x8, Oils on board.

A friend of mine asked me if I would paint a puffin.

I said, a Puffin? I don`t fancy painting one of those,

but I went for it anyway. I only hope she likes it.

Rook. 6x8, Oils on board.

This is a Rook. It looks a bit of a killer doesn`t it?

These are the ones that I think nest on top of large trees.

Jackdaw. 6x8, oils on board.

Here`s the jackdaw as promised. I`m not too sure about this one though. What do you think? Two more birds to go, then something else.

Perigrin Falcon. 6x8, Oils on board.

Another bird painting. I`ve been painting a lot of birds lately and I have a few more to go. My next one will be of a Jackdaw. They look like the villains of the species.

Philip. 9x12, Oils on board.

I did a sketch of Philip and colour notes, at our Art club, and did this painting from that. I struck lucky here, because it actually is a good likeness.

Just stopped Raining. 12x10, Oils on Board

This scene is from a place called Chevening. I went there last Friday with my usual painting gear, my rucksack and pochade. I intended to paint the local Church, but disaster - when I opened my pochade to start painting, there wasn`t a board to paint on. So instead of a painting I did a sketch and took my usual Photo. This is the result. It was a rather dull and coldish day, so I depicted it as "just stopped raining."
