Our Weathervane. 9x12 oil on board.

Our Weathervane is fixed to the side of our garage, I`ve been wanting to paint it for some time now, and finally managed it on Wednesday of this week. I sat in the garden and did the start of it but completed it in the studio.

  1. I enjoy this painting very much! The garage is a very interesting structure with a great deal of personality! The warm tones enhance the detail of the lamp, pots of flowers, birdhouse, and weathervane. The lattice structure on the left looks very interesting. I especially like the way you painted the greenery and colorful sky. All the best, Linda.

  7. Hi Mariano my friend.
Thank you for your comment. I realised I had put the Weathervane in the middle, so I put three birds to the left of him and one to the right to balance it up. It seems to have worked eh? Thank you for your emails, I will get back to you as soon as my friend. All the best.

  13. Hi Joan.
Thanks for your lovely comment. I went out yesterday to a place called Shoreham in Kent. I did a 9x12 but not too sure whether to post it. It turned into a lovely day and several lady walkers came by and made some nice comments. That pleased us I must say. Also a few dogs that we were not pleased with. All the best my friend.
