Scene at Farnborough. 9x12 oils on board

I did this painting plein air yesterday. It was a terrific experience, not only doing the painting but because tons of people kept coming up to us and asking all sorts of questions, you know, the usual ones such as, How long have you been painting? I wish I could paint. Do you belong to a club, and the best one was, isn`t it lovely. We all want those remarks don`t we? I will try to post some photos of some of the people. They were mostly Ramblers.

  1. Good morning Vic. It is 6:10am in NY. While having my morning coffee I am enjoying your latest plein air painting. I love the composition, blue in the distant is perfect. Vic I really like your brushwork in painting the trees. Wonderful painting my friend. Enjoying your work while sipping my morning coffee.

    Have a great day.

  2. Hi Vic,
Even with the Ramblers interruptions, you managed to paint your beautiful satisfied and content word. It is indeed a great scene painted with love. I think even the 3 flying birds are content! Happy painting

  3. Hi Joan.
Good afternoon to you my friend. Thank you Joan for your great comment. It was a bit hectic doing this painting seeing that there were hundreds ( so it seemed ) of ramblers looking and talking all at once. I will try to post some photos of it soon. Up at 6.10am, I`m just turning over at that time, only kidding. All the best my friend.

  5. Hi Mariano.
Lovely to hear from you my friend. Thank you for your great comment. I did enjoy doing this painting, and I managed to complete it plein air. But when I got home, I found that it was smudged with white paint from my pochade. It`s the first time that has happened. Thanks again Mariano and all the best.

  6. I have added myself to follow your blog. You are more than welcome to visit my blog and become a follower also.

Your paintings are just wonderful. I've taught myself not to ask the questions altho I often wonder later what the answers would be. My wife loves to paint...I like her work as well.

  10. Hi Vic,

Such a lovely scene. I like the distant mountains and the trees against the sky. Your trees have such movement. The field has a wonderful glow to it. Beautifully done Vic.

    Best to you,

  12. Hi Sue.
Thanks for your comment. I really did enjoy doing this painting, regardless of the crowds of people. At the moment I`m having trouble posting more than three pictures. As soon as I sort it out, I will post some photos of the crowd of Ramblers that were there. I loved your latest drawing. All the best Sue.

  14. Hi Vic,

I realize you are having trouble posting more than one picture. When I post multiples I click on new post, then click on browse the way you do for one, then upload click on done, then just go to browse again and repeat. If you are already doing this, then I don't know what the problem is on your end. It's amazing how confusing this can be, I'm always confused. Have a great night my friend.

Thanks for trying to help me. The problem I`m having is that two of the photos are distorted. I can post okay but I have`to keep deleting them because of the distortion. Thanks again my friend and all the best.
