Snow Scene. 12x17 oils on board

I painted this From one of my many photographs. The scene is in Yorkshire England.
I was really struck with the Shadow over on the left and the brilliant white of the snow on the roof of the cottage.

  5. Vic,
This is a lovely quaint painting. The white snow on the roof is really nice and you can feel the sun shining to melt it. Nice shadows also. Beautifully painted.

  8. Hello Vic. I really like the contrasts of light and dark in you last two paintings. I was trying to decide which I like best and it's a tossup. I like the way you painted the building here, but the gangplank is so well done. n

  12. Hi Vic,
Sorry it took me so long to visit. I have been admiring you beautiful snow scene. Just don't have much time these days. What I love about this is the contrast, the snow on the roof really stands out, but it also has a warm glow. Simply wonderful my friend. All the best to you.
