Casting off the Boat. 9x12, Acrylics on board.


I did this painting from a photograph that a friend sent me. The boats belong to him and he built them himself, clever lad eh? He is also a very good Artist, very detailed.
I`m afraid I haven`t done his boats justice.

    Thank you very much for your nice comment. This was painted from a photograph and the foreground Boat was like that so I can`t claim the composition is mine except, I wouldn`t have painted this coposition if I thought it was wrong.

    What a beautiful painting. Love the shadows of the boats on the water. Nice subtle greens. It really has wonderful atmospheric light in it. Somethng that took me yrs to get in my landscapes. Not easy my friend. Looking forward to more.
