I don`t know whether you would call this painting a Plein air painting, but I did it from our Bedroom window. The house is just over the road, and it belongs to friends of ours. Painting it from our bedroom was suggested by Haidee-Jo-Summers, a great Artist.

  11. Whatever you call it, it's a great painting, Vic. Edinburgh seems to have missed the snow that the rest of the UK has had to endure and today the wind is howling with heavy rain. It's nice to look out at your lovely snowy scene! :)

  13. My friend, I love snow scenes. You have certainly captured the cold of the day, yet the warm of the house. Bringing a touch of the red from the brick wall and just a suggestion of the green shrubs that last all year long. I could just look this painting when we have a snowless winter. We are getting some flurries and coating. But this is a magnificent scene, and great idea, painting from your window. It's plein air and you are toasty warm.

    All the best to you,
    Joan

  14. Hi joan.
Thank you for your lovely comment my friend. I hope you and Mike enjoyed your visit to your Daughters. I am terribly disappointed in not braving the cold and snowe to go out into it and paint. I really do admire our blogger Artist`s who do that. you have been doing some lovely work lately Joan, more so than normal, well done. Thanks again Joan and all the best.
