but a different subject. I have started the Larger

I think this one will be the last of this area,

I`ve had enough.

Not a lot to say about this one except that

he does look a killer doesn`t he? He probably

has just had his dinner, so you should be safe.

Sketching at Heybridge. 9x12, Oils on board.

Heybridge basin is a lovely spot not only for

Artist`s but also for anybody who likes to look

at the Sea and to relax. I went there with

our Art club and did some painting and sketching,

and took some photos. this one is from a photo.

We even had a cream tea, (I shouldn`t have done

that). The two Ladies are Club members, and
the chap sketching is my painting friend Harry.

Rainbow Bay,New South Wales.24"x20".Oils on board.

This is a larger Painting of Rainbow Bay,

New South Wales. It was done from a Photo

that a friends Sister had sent him.At one

time the Water was absolutely covered

in,I can only describe it as Dirty Foam.

It looked terrible and scary. We haven`t

had the reason this happened, but as you

can see,it is back to it`s original self now.

Catamaran.6x8,Oils on board

This is one half of a Catamaran at Whitstable.

There were dozens of them, but I was sitting

about Three feet away from this one painting

something else,and I fancied doing a study

of this particular half of one.I did a Sketch

as well as a photo, and I painted it at our

Art Club yesterday.

Fore.12x17,Oils on board.

This painting I concocted from a rough sketch

that I did at Beckenham Place Park. They do

have a Golf Course there but nothing was

going on at the time I did the rough Sketch.

I was there with a few friends from our Club

painting.But couldn`t resist sketching the

trees.I already had some drawings of Golfers,

and I put it together from the two.The Title

Word, Fore, is a Golf term that is shouted out

once you have hit the Ball and you see somebody

ahead, and that is to warn them a ball is coming.

Constable Country.9x12,Oils on board

This is another scene where Constable lived.

Just a couple of hundred yards from here is

his fathers Mill. There is a lovely pedestrian

Bridge which is the original one,but obviously

repaired over time.I shale be going there

again soon to do some plein Air work.

Willy Lotts Cottage.9x12,Oils on board.

Willy Lotts Cottage was painted from a very old Photo

that I had taken when I lived in Colchester.I have just

decided to paint it after all this time.Where you see

the Window was my Bedroom when I was having

a weeks tuition at Golding Constable`s Mill.

Golding was Constables Father. And Willy Lott

was an Artist that was a friend of Constables and

he gave him several lessons when Constable

first started painting. It is a brilliant Area to

paint, and I have several photos of that area

to paint yet.
