Old fashioned Watering can.

I haven`t posted this Watering can for any artistic reasons, I`ve posted it because there is a short story to it. My Wife and I went to a place called Rye, where there are lots of second hand and Antique Shops. There was this lovely Watering can in one of them, and we fell for it. Can`t remember the price we payed for it but we bought it. And at the time Rosemary said that it would look nice with some Poppies painted on it, so I agreed. Now that was 25yrs ago. But on Thursday of last week, I finally painted them. Of course I had`to sand it down and paint it mat black. We found a home for it straight away. So I say it is never too late to do something that you want to do. End of story.

  6. Hi Vic,

Love the story and the watering can. Most of all I love the way you painted the red poppys against the black. Well done my friend. All the best to you and Rosemary.

  7. Thank you my friend. I had forgotten about painting the can until Rosemary mentioned it the other day. Immediately I went out and bought some Black mat paint and some sand paper and got to work. I think that`s it until something else comes up, then it will probably be another 25yrs. All the best Joan.

  8. A better "late than never story" Vic which we all can relate to. And pretty poppies indeed, especially against the black watering can.

  10. Had to laugh when I read your delightful story. Does this mean there's hope for the rest of us procrastinators? :-)
