Tower Btridge. Oils on board, 9x12

I have managed to do a painting at last. What have I been doing? I don`t know. This of course is Tower Bridge that is on the Thames, in the Rotherhithe area. Get off the Train at London Bridge, Cross the Road, and it`s behind the buildings. You can`t miss it.

  2. Hi Vic,

I was on the phone with Sue, when this great painting popped up on my blog. What can I say, your certainly did a masterful job on this one Vic. I love your handling of the sky. The softness next to the structure of the bridge is wonderful. As for your water, oh my, your colors are exceptional.

Sue will be on later to comment. It's for certain we are your two fans. And we voted for you in the Alex Perez competition. Good luck with that.

  3. Thank you very much Teresa. I did get fed up with it in the end. How can anybody get fed up with painting? I do occasionally. All the best Teresa.

  4. Hi Joan my friend.
Thank you very much for that lovely comment. (Then you always do give me a lovely comment ). I`m glad that you liked the Sky and the Water, because I do sometimes struggle with them. That Trees in Fog that you mentioned, well, I didn`t think it was good enough to post, so I will go over it and do something else, a boat scene probably. Thanks again Joan and all the best.

  6. Great painting, Vic!
(I ask myself that same question. Seems it's painting time vs the rest of the world.)

  7. Hi Vic,

The soft blue of the sky that relects the bridge and the light on the top of the towers makes this painting a study in light. Your detail to the towers is incredible. Another beautiful painting!

  8. Hi Jill.
Thank you very much for your nice comment. Yes, it`s strange really how we have`to make time for painting when it`s our first love after family. That`s life i`m afraid eh? All the best Jill and keep your lovely colourful paintings coming, and your photos.
