Backpacking. 9x12, Oils on board.

I know all about this backpacking business.

I use`to do it myself. Snowdon was my favourite

area. But also the Black Mountains and other

places as well. I loved it. Any Backpackers out

  1. Victor, thank you for your kind comments. My palette is limited and consists of Cad Yellow Light, Cad Yellow Medium, Cad Red Light, Alizarin Crimson, Ultramarine Blue, Phthalo Blue, and Raw or sometimes Burnt Umber. I create a dark neutral with Alizarin, Ultramarine and Umber. I prefer Gamblin Paints and usually tint my board with an acrylic red or yellow oxide.
Your paintings are lovely. I especially enjoy "White Cliffs of Dover."

  2. Hi Trish. You are more than welcome to my
comments, you certainly deserve them. Thanks
for your comment on my paintings. There are a
few Artist`s that I admire and you are one of
them. Thank you trish for giving me your
Palette, it sounds great. I use most of them.
    All the best to all.
