Old Barn. 9x12, Oils on board.


This one I thought I would do something

different. I layed out everything the usual

way i/e, Drawing with my brush first.

Then layed in all the darks and lights.

But this time instead of using my brushes,

I decided to use a palette knife. Well towards

the end I got a bit scared and ended up

using both the Palette Knife and brushes.

I was reasonably happy with it.

    Scared or not, this work is wonderful, both techniques worked really well. I love the colors.

    I do love to look at Artist`s work that use a
    Palette Knife, But using one yourself is another
    thing. All you have`to learn Joan is what every
    good Artist need to learn and that is to improve
    on your Art. That last still life of yours is really lovely. All the best Joan.
