Your bravery paid off my friend. It's beautiful. Love the composition and the path leading to the house. I also like your treatment of the sky and your brush work is excellent. You recommended a landscape artist to me before Christmas. If you remember his name I would like to purchase a dvd from him.
Hi Joan. Thanks for you comment my friend. I`m not too sure whether I`m happy with it. But we can`t win them all eh? I am about to email you regarding that Artist. All the best Joan. Vic.
Hi Hilda. Thank you very much for your nice comment. As I said to Joan, I`m not too sure about it myself. But if I get 100 good comments, I think that will cinvince me, Just hoping. All the best. Hilda. Vic.
Don't know why you are not happy with this one, it is beautiful. The path, the trees and sky, and the little house at the end of the road make a wonderful composition.
Hi Sue. Thank you for your comment. It`s nice of you to say that it is beautiful, you couldn`t get a better comment than that. Thank you again Sue and all the best. Vic
We tend to be our harshest critics. To quote Kevin Macpherson "All paintings are lessons for the next. It's an ongoing learning process, increasing skills for future works." I think this painting is wonderful!
Hi Jani. Thank you for your nice comment. I agree with you and Kevin that they are a lesson for the next painting. The only way to improve and to learn is to Draw, Draw, and Paint, Paint and paint again. Jani I absolutely love your Abstracts. I also like your Landscapes. All the best Jani. Vic.
I started painting around 1990 and loved it straight away.
I started with watercolour, and then after about 15 years I moved to Oils and acrylics. I still paint the odd watercolour to keep my hand in so to speak. I love impressionism. The only time I use detail is when I paint portraits. Otherwise it is my interpretation of the subject.
I am retired but still find it hard to find time to paint. I reckon I can manage to do a painting about three times a week.
Originally I was a Motor Mechanic. Then, for the eighteen years leading up to my retirement, I worked
for Barclays bank.
