This was painted from a photo that I took at West Kingsdown after I painted the Windmill. I was more fascinated with the House. It looked gorgeous with the Sun on it, and the dark cloud approaching
This is a gorgeous painting Vic. Quite a bit bigger than your usual panel size too. Nice moody sky and a very English landscape! I love the grazing cows - they really are super. I just can't do convincing looking animals at all. All the best mate. Michael.
Hi Vic, What a nice pastoral, lovely colors and I enjoy seeing the plein air set ups. Looks like you've really been in the heart of things. Thanks for visiting mine as well...Happy Painting :)
Good morning Michael. I`m glad you like it mate. I really enjoyed painting this one. I thought it warranted a larger board, so thats where the 12"x17" came in. I use the following sizes. 6x8, 9x12 and 12x17. The two larger sizes are mdf boards with two thick coats of Acrylic gesso. I love your latest Sketches Michael. I`m going to chack out them Moleskinse ( oops!, nearly left out the E). Thanks for the inf` mate All the best. Vic.
Hi Mary. Thank you very much for your nice comment. You are more than welcome to my visits, you do produce some wonderful paintings. So colourful, and the drawing is second to none. All the best Mary. Vic.
