St` Johns Church. 9x12, oils on board.
I did this painting last wednesday morning. My friend and I went to a local subject near by. He did a painting looking the other way to me. I settled for this Church. I wasn`t too sure whether to post it or not. But a dear blogger friend of mine liked it, and convinced me to post it as it is. I usually complete my plein air paintings at home. Also a close friend called in to see us and she liked it also. So here it is.

I love your work, Vic. There is such depth and richness in your colours. Also found your recent step-by-step interesting.
ReplyDeleteHi Tony.
ReplyDeleteThank you for visiting my Blog, and for your nice comment. I have just visited your Blog Tony, and you say that your aim is to paint realistically. Well Tony, you have arrived at your goal. I have never seen paintings so much like a photograph but with your lovely colour. It amazes me that you like my sort of painting. But it pleases me though. All the best Tony.

Brilliant, Brilliant, Brilliant! Vic, your colors are rich, your composition is excellent. Love the colors in the sky and well as your varied tones of greens. Vic, my friend I could go on and on, this may be one of my favorites. Truly master level.
ReplyDeleteAll the best to you,
Joan

I'd missed this one too Vic. What gorgeous colours in that sky. I love the composition too. I want to start a more finished piece of a similar composition and you may just have convinced me to go with oils again! All the best Vic, Michael.
