  1. Lovely work Vic. I love old barns too. Is that a kentish barn then? I love the watercolours of Ray Campbell Smith and he often paints oasthouses. Hope you get to do one of those sometime, hint, hint ;)

  2. Hi Michael.
Thank you for your nice comment my friend. I think it is a kent Barn, but not too sure because this area is on the borders of another county, (I think) Yes, Ray Campbell Smith loves Kent and The oasthouses, and yes, I have painted them myself. I love them also. If I have a photo of one that I have painted, I will post it. All the best Michael.

  3. Hi Vic,

Once again another winner my friend. Must say the fresh air agrees with you. I will take a look at Ray Campbell Smith, the artist Michael mentioned. Old barns are a wonderful subject matter and you certainly do them well. All the best to you.

Thank you my friend for your lovely comment. Yes, you can assiciate Ray Campbell Smith with Kent Oasthouses. I saw him out once when I was painting. Now get cracking with them Pumpkins and complete that painting. All the best Joan.

  6. Very well done Eric, the painting is beautiful and I love how you zoomed in on the barn and excluded the rest.

  11. Victor, I too am attracted to old weather-worn buildings--isolated farm houses, barns. Yet we see them differently. You find charm in them and your paintings reflect your warm feelings. I see them "old" and "isolated." That's why I don't paint them and you should. Your paintings have a glow about them that's very attractive.

  12. Hi Linda.
Thank you for your very nice comment. I know all about Barns, I`ve seen enough of them. Also Oasthouses as well. I went with my family to Hoppicking every year. I was 4yrs old when I started. And that was Shoreham Kent, where they have these buildings. They were very good memories. Although that was many moons ago, I still cherish the memory. Thank you again Linda and all the best.
