Greenwich Church.I did this painting years ago. I did a sketch of it and a photograph. I always try to do the painting from the sketch, but never succeed. I have`to refer to the photograph. I might have a go at doing it again from this painting. I haven`t got the photo anymore.
P.S. Mind you I had`to paint the Chiddingstone Oast`s fron a pencil sketch.

Brilliant Victor. The clarity is outstanding. This is a gem. I work from sketches and the reference photograph simultaneously as well.
ReplyDeleteHi Linda.
ReplyDeleteI`m glad you like it. Thank you for your nice comment. I`m glad somebody else works the same way as I do. I won`t feel guilty anymore. All the best Linda.
Vic.
Oh yes, Vic, I agree with Linda, it's brilliant. I also hear artist saying they work from their plein air sketches, but I use both. This piece is well done my friend.
ReplyDeleteAll the best,
Joan
Hi Joan.
ReplyDeleteThank you my friend for your lovely comment.
There are two things I can`t seem to do and that is, I can`t seem to complete a painting plein air. I also can`t paint when someone is talking to me. I don`t know how any artist can do that, but i know some can. Thanks again Joan and all the best.
Vic.
Hi Victor
ReplyDeleteI love it. Very inspiring.
You also made it look like a place I'd like to visit.
