This is the Acrylic painting I did from my Watercolour sketch at Hall Place.
It`s slightly different from the sketch. Actually it is a lot different from
the Sketch.
Hi Linda. I`m glad that you like it Linda. It is a lovely place to paint. We haven`t finished there yet. Plenty of subjects left to do. All the best Linda. Vic.
Hi Hilda. Thank you for your nice comment. Yes it is a lovely place to paint and as you say, to have a picnic. Mind you, the rain that we are having lately, this isn`t the place to be. All the best Hilda. Vic.
Hi Julie. I`m glad that you like it. Thank you for your nice comment. Yes Julie before I start painting, I put a coat of Acrylic Pink. achieved by Mixing up Cad` red, Burnt sienna and white. I love doing that and it dries in no time. It doesn`t seem that you have trouble getting nice greens. your paintings are gorgeous. All the best Julie. Vic.
Very nice work Vic. As a keen photographer I'm always cropping photo's to find the picture-within-the-picture so I really like how you've 'cropped' this scene out of your original sketch.
Hi John. I`m glad that you like it mate. thank you for your comment. Yes I always crop my photos John. Or if it is a sketch I usually crop that as well. I don`t know if you are retired like me, but I find I have less time to do anything these days. Is it the same with you John? All the best. Vic.
I tried to leave a comment earlier, but it didn't show this post. So my friend, once again you have produced a brilliant painting. I cannot begin to tell you how wonderful your tones and various shades of green are, so very difficult to accomplish. And yes, John is right about the composition it's perfect. Mike and I are going out for a walk, it's a lovely evening, the heat wave finally broke.
Hi Joan. As usual my friend, a lovely comment from you. What happened Joan was that several of my post`s disappeared, and Although I got intouch with my Vic, I managed to accidentally fixed it myself. I don`t know how I did it, but I did. These blogs eh? I`m about to check out yours now. I hope you both enjoyed your walk Joan. All the best to you both. Vic.
Hi Mary. Thank you very much for your nice comment. I`m glad you like it because I wasn`t too sure whether I should have gone more honestly by the Watercolour sketch. Thabks again Mary and all the best. Vic.
Hi Sue. thank you very much for your lovely comment. If it is true what you say about my colours Sue, then I don`t know how I achieve them either. All the best Sue. Vic.

Hi Vic,
ReplyDeleteThe light and shadows are beautiful in this painting as well as the trees. Your use of green is is always exceptional, I don't know how you do it.
Best to you,
Sue
I really feel the shady green hear. Both of these really have interesting tree forms too...nice!

A wonderful picture, Vic. I feel I could walk into it and take 40 winks under the tree. I love the restful shades of green.
