Shoreham, Kent.9x12, Oils on board.

I went out to Shoreham in Kent on Wednesday.

I did one plein Air Sketch in Oils on a sheet of

oil canvas paper that comes in pad form.

I`ve never done this before but it was a

terrific experience. I simply rested the pad on

a fence and went mad with colour. I did this

painting from the sketch.

  2. Hi Joan. Thank you my friend. Your comments help
me to keep going. Have you seen Sheila Vaughan`s
latest posting? Take a look and click on it to
get a close up of it, and especially look at the
figure with the bike and again especially the Dog. The Dog is really looking around, don`t you agree? To me it`s a masterpiece. I liked your last posting Joan. I have left a comment.
    All the best.
    Vic.

  4. Thank you very much Kim. I enjoyed doing the Sketch for this painting I must say. As I was coming out of the car Park, It started to rain,
and I couldn`t resist taking a photograph of
a subject that caught my Eye. I have just started that subject and hope that it comes out okay. Thank you again Kim. All the best.

  6. I enjoyed looking at your paintings. I learn so much from seeing others work. You have been painting a lot this month. I like your portrait and rooster particularly, this painting too has good ariel perspective and nicely shaped trees. It is so fun to see the English houses and landscapes. And thank you so much for your kind attention to my posts. You are so encouraging Vic. nancy

  7. Thank you Sheryl. It`s lovely to get these
great comments from other Artist`s. Mind you,
too many comments gives one a big head. Again,
there isn`t much chance of getting that with
the few comments that I get. But one, two or
three comments to me is plenty enough. I am about to have a look at your Blog now Sheryl.
    Thank you once again.
    Vic.

  9. You are welcome Victor! I did post a link to my art blog at my other blog, and if you notice at the top of the blog page you visited there is a painting of a pear and hands. That is one of my originals. It also links you to my art blog. Thanks so much for stopping by. I will be checking back on occasion to see what you do.
    All the best,
    Sheryl

  11. Sounds like you had fun with this process - you should do it again! Great treatment of the distance... the whole composition pulls the eye right in!

  12. Thank you Laurel. I did enjoy using that canvas pad, and will use it again. It seemed to make me work quicker, therefore more Impressionistic,
for which I love. All the best Laurel.

  13. Hi Vic, just noticed what you asked on my blog. Don't have a clue. I will ask Cathyann Burgess, she seems to be in the know about these things. Will get back to you tomorrow. Have a great weekend.
