Small Holding. 9x12", Oils on board.

I`ve been painting this subject on and off for a week.
I`ve had an Electrician doing some work in my studio
for that period. I managed to do about 15min` each
evening, and it wasn`t comfortable at all. Plus I
had`to keep blowing the dust off of it as well.
I`m not complaining, just moaning.

  1. I love this! Lots of interest, depth, and atmosphere! Maybe dealing with the discomfort spurred you to success?

  2. Thank you very much Carol. It`s great getting praise from Artist`s such as yourself and other very good Artist`s. I am glad the painting is out of the way now. The Electrics still isn`t completed yet but hopefully he will be back to do this sometime next week. Thank you again Carol, and all the best.

  3. This is lovely too, nice colors. It looks like you got about the same amount of snow we had. It was a great opportunity to paint a snow scene. So neat to see photos from across the pond.

  4. Hi Vic, I finally got back to work today. I love this recent painting of yours. In spite of your difficulties with your studio, you did a great job on this one. I love the atmospheric quality you captured. Well done my friend.

  6. Hi Joan. Glad you managed to get back to painting once again my friend. Our Electrician should be here by now to complete the studio and garage but he hasn`t turned up yet. He should have been here around 8.30am, but it is now almost 9.10am. so it doesn`t seem like he is going to appear today. If only they would let you know eh? Thanks again Joan and all the best.

  7. HI Vic..I finally got a chance to take a look at your, "Vic's one a day" blog. It was great fun and I really enjoyed your paintings.
Just curious though, Vic. Without giving away any of your secrets.. :~)"Do you use 'black' on your palette ?

  8. Hi Frank.
I`m so glad I have heard from you. I sent a comment on one of your paintings and mentioned that I wanted to receive your paintings that you post through an email. But I never got an answer from you. Your blog hasn`t got the usual sign up for franks daily paintings. What it has got is Posts and all comments. I think your paintings are fantastic and colourful. In answer to your question. I don`t use black but I might do one of these days. What I use to get my really darks is- Ultra` and Burnt Sienna. Other colours in my Palette is-Y` Ochre, Cad` Y`
Cad` Red, I make up my greens from these and I might occasionally use a minute touch of Viridian. Of course I use lots of Titanium White. All the best Frank and hope to hear from you.
