Boycee. 9x12, oils on board.
This is Boycee, not brucy as I called him when I posted my Sketch of him. It is my Son`s Alsation, and he sent me a photo of him, and I couldn` resist painting this lovely dog. You can`t see his back paws because they were not in the photo, so I made out that they were buried in the snow.

What a lovely animal and you did a very nice job on the painting! He looks very "regal" posing there!
ReplyDeleteHi Vic,
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry that I haven't commented sooner. You have certainly done Boycee proud. He is a magnificent animal. My son has a shilo shepherd that I will be painting along with my grand-daughter. But this is a wonderful portrait. Have a wonderful week .
Hi Vic,
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful dog! I can see why you couldn't resist painting him. It seems you have captured his "regalness". Just wonderful Vic. I really enjoy your animal paintings.
Thank you very much Samantha. Yes he does look regal doesn`t he? I wished it was a better photo though so that I could have captured his paws. All the best Samantha.

Hi Joan.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your Comment on Boycee. It`s a nice name, and it belonged to a character in a comedy programme on the T/V. I think he is about Nine Months old now. All the best my friend.
Vic.
Thank you Sue, your comment is much appreciated, especially coming from a great Animal painter as yourself. All the best Sue.

I had an alsatian just like this one not only have you captured the dog but the character of the dog. Thanks for following my blog I look forward to seeing more of yours.
ReplyDeleteThank you very much Ralph for your visit and comment. I have visited yours, and think that you are a fine Artist, and an unusual one. It seems you have your own style that one can recognise as yours. Thanks again Ralph and all the best.
