Figures and Tractor. 12x17, oils on board.

Figures and tractor is a farm scene in Kent, England. I painted it from an old photograph that I had. It is a typical Kent Farm scene with the big Cowshed that you can see.

  1. Love all the greens and the values in the tree trunks. Interesting, the cows in Colorado have to stay outside!

  2. Hi Pam.
Thank you very much for your comment. Well, our Cows were probably outside, but the Cowshed is for Milking only, ( I think ). Thanks again Pam and all the best.

  3. Hi Laura.
Thank you very much also for your Comment. There were no Cows insight so I didn`t paint any. I am one of those Artist`s that hase`to have the subject infront of me to paint. I`m no good at guessing. Thank you again Laura and all the best.

  4. Hi Vic!.... Not only have "You" created a very pleasingly painterly pastoral glimpse of Kent... "You" have also created a record of two farmers taking time out of their normally busy work day to exchange...."Neighbourly News"! A valuable message to us all! HAHA!! Lovely piece!

    Good Painting!
    Warmest regards,

What I love about your paintings is that you are once again bringing England to the states. Well done my friend. All the best to you. I am so happy Bruce has found your blog.

  7. Thank you very much my friend. I must try to do more paintings of my dear lovely Kent. That is the area that always brings back such lovely memories with my Mum and Dad, Hop Picking. I have just spotted your new painting and have left a comment, also please don`t start up anymore blog sites, I just haven`t got the time to visit, ( Joking ). All the best Joan.

  8. excellent victor
    such a typical rural scene,
you created a lot of depth,by greying the background and making the foreground really strong

  9. Thank you Rob. I`m glad you spotted the background Greys because that is exactly what I did, As you know if I hadn`t done that, the large Cowshed would have been too overpowering wouldn`t it? All the best Rob.

  10. Just beautiful Vic, the trees, the depth of the painting and the "conversation of the two men" all work together to make this a lovely scene.
